Development of Self Sustainable Village in Dehradun

An Enthusiastic initiative by the Head of EPE Department Mr. N B Soni along with department faculty Mr. Sami Rehman and M Tech ES, B Tech PSE Students in which it is planned to develop a self sustainable village where villagers will be producing there own energy with the help of renewable sources. This Energy will be utilized for lighting the houses, generate Biogas with the help of Biogas Plant which will be utilized for cooking. This project will help the villagers to improve there living conditions like safety from wild animals, to reduce the carbon emission caused by burning the fuel( wood and Kerosene) for cooking and making the village self sustainable.
